Timothy surely had the heart of a tiger and an even fiercer determination to serve the Lord…
After Paul and Barnabas healed a crippled man, many quit worshipping the Greek gods, but others turned against Paul, threw him out of the city and stoned him. Despite that, Bible historians tell us this is when Timothy, his mother and his grandmother pledged their faith to Jesus.
As referenced many times in the New Testament—including two books Paul wrote to him—Timothy became Paul’s closest and most beloved confidant as they worked to lead people to Christ.
“For this reason I sent you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ Jesus, as I teach them everywhere and in every church.”
