Sunday School

The Pathfinders Class, located in the Church Parlor, is studying the second book written by Moses, the extraordinary account of Israelites leaving Egypt for their journey to the Promised Land.  Exodus stands as an eternal testimony to the nature of God (i.e. who he is) and the works of God (i.e. what he does).  We can see God's attributes of holiness, power, justice, truth, mercy and glory in the pages of this book.  We also have repeated evidence of his faithfulness to his promises.   The nature of God is evident in the Exodus account.  But, in his deliverance of Israel from Egypt, we also can see "shadows" of themes developed further in the New Testament, such as forgiveness of sin, deliverance from sin's bondage, the preservation of his children and what it means to walk with God.  Come join our class.  All adult ages are welcome.

The Companion Class is a senior adult class that meets in the Companion room. Class begins promptly at 9:30 am with singing from the old Cokesbury Hymnal. The study material for this class is the Bible. The class structure is not rigid, and studies range from lessons appropriate to the Christian calendar, to the discussion of relevant current events.  Spiritual gifts are currently the topic of discussion and we will soon begin a study on the book of Exodus.  We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings for good music, study time, fun and fellowship.

The Apollos Class is an adult class meeting in the Beavers Room that welcomes both singles and married couples. Max Lucado's "He Chose the Nails" - a study that will lead us into Easter - is the current study focus.  No reading outside the class is necessary.

The College Student Class lead by Eric Dobson now meets with the Apollos class.

The Wanderers Class is for 2, 3 and 4 year old children. They meet in the toddler nursery and are studying the love of Christ.

The Starlights Class is for kindergarten and 1st grade students. They are currently studying the miracles of Jesus.

The Timothy Tigers Class is for 2nd through 5th graders.   We are currently discussing the Coolest things about Jesus, while continuing to learn how to find the various books of the Bible.  As we enter the season of Lent, we will study the lives of the original 12 apostles.  Some people wonder about our name.

The 6th through 12th grade students meet in the youth room, and are currently studying stories of the Old Testament. They began in Genesis and are now studying Moses and the ten commandments.
