Children's Church

Children age 4 through 5th grade are invited to attend Children's Church following the Children's sermon during Sunday worship. There is no Children's church the first Sunday of every month so that families may participate in communion together.  

During Children’s Church in July we learned about Joseph the Dreamer. We learned about favoritism, envy and jealousy thru a series of videos, art projects, storytelling and games. We also learned that even though bad things happened to Joseph, God was with him all the time and God had plans for him.

In August we will learn about Joseph's life from Slave to Ruler.

Promotion Sunday is scheduled for August, 22.   We will promote those who attend Sunday school and then ask all the children to come to the altar for a blessing of backpacks. Fort Worth ISD starts school on Monday, August 23. Three children will promote from the toddler room to Children's Church which makes the total of 19 children. What a blessing!

The last Sunday in August we will talk about Jesus as a teacher and have a few back to school games to welcome the "new kids on the block" to Children's Church.

Children’s Ministry collects soda can tabs which are donated to Ronald McDonald House to support their ministry.  A marked container is on the Missions Table in Reed Hall.  Thank you for your support!
